Let's Clean Up Seven Lochs!
While much of the Seven Lochs area is well cared for there are parts of the park that suffer significant problems with litter and fly tipping. In the last month alone we have removed 12 truckloads of dumped material from the park - including building waste, fridges and tyres.
This year we're joining the Clean Up Scotland national Spring Clean 2019 campaign to take action on litter and fly tipping. We'll work with Keep Scotland Beautiful, Glasgow City and North Lanarkshire councils, Forestry and Land Scotland - as well as local schools, community groups and businesses - to run a series of clean up activities across the park. This will lead up to a week of action from the 25th to 31st May to clean up the Seven Lochs Trail as part of the Clean Up Scotland tourism week.
Clean-up dates are:
These are drop in events - so everyone is welcome to come along and help out. Gloves, litter pickers and bags will be provided. Get in touch on email@example.com to find out more.
Can you help organise a clean up in your local area? Any clean up events registered with Keep Scotland Beautiful in April and May are entitled to free treats or vouchers from their local Greggs stores! Find out how to organise and register an event here. Or get in touch with us and we will work with you to register the event and support you on the day.
We also want people living in and around the park to report problems with litter and fly tipping so that we can work with councils and others to take action. You can report fly tipping using the links below:
Let's make 2019 the year that we work together to clean up Seven Lochs!
