Seven Lochs to host National Conference

The Seven Lochs Wetland Park will host delegates from the UK and Ireland Lakes Network (UKILN) when their annual conference visits Scotland on the 10th and 11th of October. UKLIN is a charitable trust that brings together people and organisations working to improve the management of lakes (and lochs!) through a whole catchment approach. This year’s conference will share experience and expertise from across the UK and beyond on the topic of Urgency, Innovation and Collaboration for our Lakes, Lochs and Wetlands.

On Tues 10th October conference delegates will visit sites at Seven Lochs and Strathclyde Country Park to look at how project partners are delivering nature restoration, visitor engagement and climate resilience through the management of lochs and wetlands. The following day the conference moves to the Strathclyde University Technology and Innovation Centre – where delegates will hear about new innovative approaches and tools to help address challenges posed by the climate and nature emergencies.
